Background

Searchlight Television is the television division of Searchlight Pictures, launched in April 2018 to broaden the variety of projects produced under the company's banner. It will produce original content; as well as some based on other productions. The division didn't have an official logo until 2021.

(December 15, 2021-)

Logo: On a black background, we see the 1995 Fox Searchlight Pictures print logo (without "FOX" but still retaining the carved line) slowly zoom upwards with "TELEVISION" peeking below it, as the spotlights cross and go into their positions while zooming out. A trademark symbol is seen on the bottom-right.

FX/SFX: The crossing and zooming of the spotlights, the forming of the text.

Music/Sounds: A fast-paced remix of the 20th Century Studios drumroll.

Availability: Brand new. First appeared on Searchlight's social media channels. It officially debuted with The Dropout on Hulu, and is expected to appear on upcoming shows from the company.

Legacy: A decently animated logo that gets the job done, although it could be better. It should also be noted that the design of the logo is based on the 1995 print logo of Fox Searchlight Pictures. Only time will tell if this is a placeholder or not.
