Background

Walt Disney Television Alternative (stylized as wdt alternative) is an unscripted programming division of Walt Disney Television that was formed in February 2021. The division is led by Rob Mills, the former ABC SVP of alternative series, specials and late-night.

(May 25, 2022-)

Logo: On a blue-gray gradient background, we see the navy blue letters "wdt" appear and zoom out, letter by letter. Two arcs form from the left end of the "w", and the right end of the "t". The two letters then move closer, causing the "d" to move downwards. The logo then moves upwards, and "alternative", in white, fades in.

Variant: When the logo was first introduced, a still version is used where it takes place on a navy blue background with a gradiented version of the logo.

Technique: 2D animation.

Music/Sounds: None or the closing theme.

Availability: Brand new and current.

  • The still version can be seen on The Great American Tag Sale with Martha Stewart and 2022 American Rescue Dog Show.
  • The animated version debuted on The Final Straw and Claim to Fame.
