Background

Walt Disney Television Alternative (stylized as wdt alternative) is an unscripted programming division of Walt Disney Television that was formed in February 2021. The division is led by Rob Mills, the former ABC SVP of alternative series, specials and late-night.

Logo (May 25, 2022-)


Visuals: On a blue-gray gradient background, there are the letters "wdt" appear and zoom out, letter-by-letter. Two arcs form from the left and right ends of the letters respectively, as they then move closer, causing the "d" to move downwards. The logo then moves upwards, and "alternative" in white fades in.

Variant: When the logo was first introduced, a still version is used where it takes place on a navy blue background with a gradiented version of the logo.

Technique: 2D animation.

Audio: None or the closing theme.
