Background

The Jackal Group was founded by former Fox president Gail Berman in 2014 as a division of the Fox Networks Group, after Berman left BermanBraun.

Logo (March 5, 2015-)

Visuals: The logo begins in an animated black-and-white woodland scene, with black tree trunks on a grayish background. A pair of white pupil-less animated eyes appear on one of the trunks, which belongs to a black silhouetted jackal as it jumps out of the woods onto a wavy gray background and trots to the center of the screen, as the words "THE JACKAL GROUP" in small black lettering appear from underneath. The jackal freezes in position as the background continues animating.

Variants:

  • A still version exists.
  • It sometimes shares the screen with other logos.
  • A short version exists where the jackal walks into the center of the screen and freezes in a different position with its left front paw raised.
  • On animated shorts done by AOK (a successor to Animation Domination High-Def), the logo is still on a white background.

Technique: 2D computer animation by Justin Demetrician at The Mill.

Audio: A two-note guitar tune and a voice softly going "Yeah!".

Audio Variants:

  • On Easiest Game Show Ever, the jingle is slightly re-arranged, with three notes instead of two.
  • On Grimsburg, the dialogue is cut off.
  • Sometimes, it's silent or has the closing theme.

Availability: It debuted on Dig and later appeared on Cooper Barrett's Guide to Surviving Life, Easiest Game Show Ever, Tidying Up with Marie Kondo, Monarch, and the TV movie The Rocky Horror Picture Show: Let's Do the Time Warp Again, among others. The long version could be seen on the company's website until 2017.
