1st Logo (Late 1963-January 21, 2002)
Visuals:
- 1963-1990: Same as the 1953 B&W Malayan Film Unit logo; however, the background is almost completely black, and the text is replaced with the stacked text "FILEM NEGARA MALAYSIA" in a Serif font with "MEMPERSEMBAHKAN" under it.
- 1972-January 21, 2002: A different illustration of the Malayan tiger is against a blue or turquoise background. The picture then fades to reveal the stacked company name in yellow and in a different font. The text "MALAYSIA" is also not enlarged. Under the company name reads "Mempersembahkan" in a cursive font. Depending on the film, the "M" may be stylized in two different writing styles, or it might be lowercase instead.
Closing Variants:
- On Pua Kumbu, the tiger is above "PENERBITAN", which is above the company name in the same yellow color.
- On Bangau Oh Bangau, the tiger is above text in white reading "PENERBITAN FILEM NEGARA".
Other Variants:
- 1963-1990 Variant:
- On Berlindung Di Malaysia, the text is against the background seen in the 1953 Malayan Film Unit logo, and has white outlines.
- On Keajaiban Tabii, the tiger is colorized, along with the background, which is colored periwinkle. The text is also colorized in yellow.
- On Dalam Kenangan: Tunku Abdul Rahman, a different design of the tiger is shown on the background seen in the 1953 Malayan Film Unit logo. The picture doesn't fade to the company's name.
- 1972-2002 Variant: On Seniman Silam Dalam Kenangan,, only the company name is shown, which is placed at the center of the screen, with "Persembahan" in a stylized font and the 1969 Radio Televisyen Malaysia logo in white above and below it respectively.
Technique: Fading effects for the opening variant, but none for the closing variant.
Audio:
- 1963-1990: Same as the Malayan Film Unit logo.
- 1972-January 21, 2002: A twenty-three-note bombastic trumpet fanfare, followed by three held notes.
