Golden Scene Company Limited

Background

Golden Scene Company Limited was founded by film distribution and marketing veteran Winnie Tsang in 1998 and started up as an independent distributor renowned for bringing its diverse lineup to the local market, including The Ring, Quill, the Twilight saga and others.

Since 2007, the company ventured into film production with Simply Actors, The Way We Dance, The Midnight After, Beyond The Dream and others. The company also handles international sales of the films it produces and acquires, such as So Young, Break Up Club, At the End of Daybreak, Mad World, Weeds On Fire, Still Human and others.

Visuals: On a black background, there is a film countdown blinking which then turns into a dot (like the texture in the The November Man movie). Then it turns into "GOLDEN SCENE" in the stretched Helvetica font. It then rotates diagonally, then it stops rotating. The rectangle then turns into an inverted version of the logo, containing "GOLDEN SCENE" in black and a rectangle bar in white, while Chinese characters fade in underneath the logo.

Variants:

An earlier version exists, where the logo is still and contains the word "COMPANY LIMITED" below.
There is an early version, which contains a URL "WWW.GOLDENSCENE.COM" in a Univers font. This logo was used as a first variant at the beginning of trailers and with the opening theme of the movie.
There is a short version when the logo fades to a inverted rectangle in white with the black text.
Sometimes, the logo is in scope.
Otherwise, the logo is zoomed down.
Starting in 2019, the logo was redone. The text was also in a different font.

Technique: CGI.

Audio: There is a filmreel countdown soundtrack (which is used on the third Georgia Public Broadcasting logo), and a wind sound is heard at the end.

There is a shorter variant that starts with wind sounds at the end.

Availability:

Early Variant: It's seen on some movies like The Heavenly Kings, Magic Boy and Simply Actors.
Later Variant: Can be seen on some trailers on their official YouTube channel and their official website. Also, this was spotted on some movies, like End of Love and Permanent Residence. Also seen on some DVD prints of said movie.
