Background

TFM was a distribution arm of French TV network TF1. It was said to be closed in 2010 when TF1 joined forces with UGC to distribute TF1's film productions.

Logo (2001-2010)

Visuals: On a black background, the text "TFM" is seen in the middle of the screen. "TF" is seen connected together, and the "M" contains a drawing of the Statue of Liberty's face. Below it, the text "DISTRIBUTION" is seen below in a small print and spaced apart.

Later Variant: Around 2006, the logo was remade to have a darker color scheme, with the "M" getting a dark blue color, and it has been rendered smaller and slightly off-center. Animation has been added as well, having "LE LABEL" slide down vertically to the left of the logo and "DISTRIBUTION", now in a different font, slide in from the right and below the logo.

Technique: None, but simple 2D animation for the later variant.

Audio: None.

Availability: Can be seen on older prints of French films, along with imported French prints of foreign films. Some films included Le Premier Cercle, and the French release of Igor.
