TF1 Films Production

(2010-2017)

Visuals: On a blue/black background, the camera moves backwards through a set of white dots ressembling stars. It briefly picks up speed, until more dots shoot up towards the viewer, forming the TF1 logo, with "FILMS PRODUCTION" written below. The stars then disappear completely, revealing the complete logo against the background.

Technique: CGI animation.

Audio: A simple synth-pad music with some whooshing sounds when the camera moves through the stars and during the logo's appearance.

Availability: Seen on movies like R.A.I.D. Special Unit and Max & Leon. It might be preceded by the 3rd or 4th UGC logo.

TF1 Studio

(2017-)

Visuals: The logo is a montage of various shots: we first see a close-up of a woman's eye (said woman being covered with powdered paint). Some debris of paint floating to the top of screen are seen reflecting through the person's eye. We then see that last animation against a black background. Following this is several people making head gestures in slow-motion while they are getting splashed with sand-like, powdered paint of various colors. After a few shots, the screen cuts to black. We finally see one of the extras, covered with red/orange paint, blowing some blue powder towards the camera. As the scene fades to an extreme close-up of the same substance floating on the air, the TF1 Studio logo appears in white.

Technique: A mix of CGI animation and live-action footage by GMK Productions.

Audio: An orchestral tune based on TF1's 6-note leitmotif since 2013, driven by strings and a choir. Composed by Alex Jaffray and Gilles Facérias at START-REC.

Availability: Seen on recent films like Way Down and Maria rêve. Also appears on reissues of old movies like Nights in Cabiria and La passante du Sans-Souci.
