Background

Studio Tor was a division of WFDiF, founded on April 1, 1967 that produced over 100 movies. In 2019, it was absorbed into the Documentary and Feature Film Studio.

Logo (October 19, 1970-April 29, 1996?)


Visuals: There is an orange filmstrip that looks like a rail. It scrolls for a bit before "Studio" & "Filmowe" appear on the filmstrip, and "tor" appears in red.

Variant:

  • On Studio Filmowe TOR - have you seen it yet?, the logo is still. On the bottom is "Studio Filmowe".
  • Earlier films have the logo B&W.
  • Some films have the company name reading "ZESPOL FILMOWY TOR".

Technique: Cel animation, later CG animation.

Audio: The sound of a train whistle, then a steel squeaking sound. It could also be silent.

Availability: Seen on their films during the time such as The Cruise (1970), Zazdrosc i medycyna (1973), A Woman's Direction (1975), Camouflage (1977), Hospital of the Transfiguration (1978), Camera Buff (1979) and Escape from the Liberty Cinema (1990).
