Middya Films

From the Audiovisual Identity Database, the motion graphics museum

Logo (October 2, 1993)

Visuals: On a red background, there is a still image of a cobra with its tongue sticking out. A diamond then falls on the head of the cobra, and shines, as a beam of light comes from the diamond, making "Middya Films" in white, appear. The beam fades out, and the text blurs for a bit, and blurs, as the diamond still shines. Lastly, the text "Present" appears via wiping in. The logo then stays on screen for a while, as it fades to black.

Technique: Cel animation combined with fading effects.

Audio: An odd arrangement of beeping noises, and a loud whooshing sound when the beam appears, and a long one note synth noise that gets higher as it progresses. The music is actually a stock piece called "Tomorrow’s World" from the BBC Radiophonic Workshop music library, composed by John Baker in 1965.

Availability: Only seen on the Bengali movie Prithbir Sesh Station.
