Background

This was the production company of Sasikumar, an Indian film director who worked in Malayalam cinema and has directed more than 141 films in his career which began in the mid-1960s.

1st Logo (December 18, 1969-October 19, 1973)

Visuals: On a dark background, there's a statue of Ganesh above a pedestal with the name of the company in Malayalam ("ഗണേഷ് പിക്ചേഴ്സ്"). The statue is between two large metal candles and behind some fruits (coconuts and bananas). On the left side of the pedestal, there's a kind of candle. On the right side, there are some burning incense sticks. On the table where the pedestal lies, there are some flowers, a jar, and a dish. Then, there's a light behind Ganesh, illuminating the background, and the camera zooms into the name of the company.

Technique: Live-action.

Audio: A strum with a swarmandal and a playful melody with a sitar.

2nd Logo (September 16, 1983)

Visuals: In a brown room, there is the same statue of Ganesh except slightly undecorated sitting on top of various flowers and fruits, all surrounded by two oil lamps on both sides and sitting on top of a table with a red cloth. After a few seconds, the company name in Malayalam, and colored green fade in front of the footage.

Technique: Live-action combined with cel animation.

Audio: A relaxing sitar and bansuri melody starting and ending with a swarmandal glissando.
