Background

This was the production company of D.V.S. Raju, a film producer known for his works in Telugu cinema and Bollywood.



1st Logo (March 6, 1965-May 24, 1973)


Visuals: In a dark room, a model of Aruna driving the chariot of Surya is shown on top of the logo, consisting of "DVS" in a horizontally distorted effect on top of "PRODUCTIONS" over a rectangular slab. The camera then slowly zooms into the said model before stopping.

Variant: On Tikka Sankarayya, the camera is still and seen very close to the model.

Technique: Camera controlled animation.

Audio: A swarmandal tune that ends with a glissando.

Availability: Seen on Dhanama Daivana, Chinnanaati Snehithulu, Mangamma Sapatham, Pidugu Ramudu, Tikka Sankarayya, Gandikota Rahasyam, Chinnanaati Snehithulu, and Dhanama Daivama.

2nd Logo (August 24, 1975-May 14, 1981)


Visuals: A spotlight illuminates the shadow of the same type of artwork from before before lighting it up. The model, alongside a different reconstruction of the logo from before behind a gray rectangular block, is standing on top of a glitter-laden surface. The camera zooms into the model before stopping.

Technique: Practical effects.

Audio: A re-recorded rendition of the previous soundtrack with more swarmandal strums and a glissando at the beginning.

Availability: Seen on Jeevana Jyoti, Jeevitha Nouka, Alludu Pattina Bharatham, and Pranaya Geetham.

3rd Logo (September 23, 1983-December 18, 1986)


Visuals: Set behind a sunset landscape is an illustration of Aruna and Surya on top of "DVS", now with a black outline, "PRODUCTIONS", and no dark wall holding the company name. There are four candles leading to the logo, each of which are lit. They are on top of a rosy surface.

Technique: Live action.

Audio: Same as before.

Availability: Seen on Chanakya Sapatham, Marchandi Mana Chattalu, and Mujhe Insaaf Chahiye.

4th Logo (November 18, 1987-February 5, 1993)


Visuals: An adult Krishna is seen praying to a detailed artwork of the same concept from before on top of the company name with "ENTERPRISES" in white replacing "PRODUCTIONS". In front of this artwork are two candles, two plates, multiple fruits, and a carpeted altar made up of rose-like objects.

Variant: A widescreen variant exists on Rajadhani, where the candles, plates, fruits, and altar were represented as images and the two plants were ommitted.

Technique: A still painted graphic.

Audio: A bansuri piece.

Availability: Seen on Bhanumathi Gari Mogudu, Doshi Nirdoshi, Champion, and Rajadhani.
