1st Logo (September 3, 2004)

Visuals: A rotoscoped scene from an unknown silent film is shown. Here, a woman in a white robe holding a white cape walks towards a balcony in the style of Greek architecture with two plant bases next to it. The woman flails the cape as she walks away from the screen before the cape and background changes the shot to a closer shot of her covering her face and chest with the fabric and walking away. The sequence cuts to a man peeking in a dark room through dark curtains. A white, expanding painted pupil expands from the man's left eye , morphing into a rounded eye symbol as the silent film scene fades to black. Forming alongside the eye, there is the thick rectangular white border, an underline, and the company name in Times New Roman. In the finished product, the logo is aligned to the left side of the screen.

Technique: Oil painted rotoscoped animation.

Audio: None.

Availability: So far, the logo has appeared on the 2004 restoration of Il vigile. This print was shown during the 61st Venice Film Festival as well as a Sky Cinema HD airing on March 23, 2007.[1][2]

2nd Logo (March 30, 2020-)

Visuals: The eye and box symbol from before are shown next to "CINETECA BOLOGNA" in a stacked format and tall font.

Technique: A still, digital graphic.

Audio: None.
