1st Logo (January 3, 1963)

Visuals: On a black background is a curved illustration of the Széchenyi Chain Bridge on top of the ocean waves. Behind the picture is the zooming stacked text "BUDAPEST FILMSTUDIÓ". The bridge separates the two words, positioning the former and latter above and below the picture respectively.

Technique: Cel animation.

Audio: A dramatic string and drum fanfare that gradually becomes more serious.

Availability: It was seen on Kertes házak utcája.

2nd Logo (September 28, 1972-November 28, 1985)

Visuals: The background consists of an aerial illustration of the center-most region of Budapest, complete with ships on the Danube River. The fancy text "DVNA" can be seen almost underneath the spot at which the Hungarian Parliament Building is. The company name, which varies in font, size, color, and position on each film, is superimposed onto the shot.

Variants:

The company name may be worded differently. The most common alternate names for the studio include "Budapest Játékfilmstúdió", "Budapest Játékfilmstúdió Vállalat", and "Budapest Stúdió".
The aerial shot may have varying tints, sometimes being in a blue and grey color scheme and other times tinted in sepia or blue.
The logo is sometimes animated where it specifically involves the appearance of the text. It may appear through a simple fade in effect or through wiping.
Starting in 1980, the Mafilm logo appears to the top left of the company name.
On Kojak in Budapest, "MAFILM HDF" appears below the company name.
In the logo's earlier years, a closer shot of the aerial illustration is shown, focusing more on the side with the bifurcated river.

Audio: None or the opening theme of the film.

Availability: The logo made its debut on Forró vizet a kopaszra! and appeared on many other films throughout the 70's through mid-80's, making its latest appearance on Városbújócska. Several of these films, which were either broadcasted on television or restored for modern releases, still contain the logo. These releases include The Fifth Seal, The Pagan Madonna, and Diary for My Children. The Mafilm variant made one of its earliest appearances on Békeidő.
