Background

Ammonite Films was a Bristol-based television production company founded 1994. They mainly produced science and natural history programs.

1st Logo (October 21, 2004)

Visuals: An ammonite shell is shown on a light brown-gray gradient water surface. A water droplet falls and lands on the centre of the shrell, creating a large splash and dividing into smaller droplets. Those droplets land outside the shell. Underneath the boxed sequence is the text "AMMONITE"

Technique: CGI.

Audio: The closing theme of the programme.

Availability: The logo's only known appearance was on the Natural World documentary "Norfolk Broads: Fall and Rise of a Great Swamp".

2nd Logo (March 17, 2008?-2009?)

Visuals: This logo essentially consists of the text "ammonite".

Technique: A still, digital graphic.

Audio: The closing theme of the programme.

Availability: So far, the logo can be seen on Smalltalk Diaries.
