From the Audiovisual Identity Database, the motion graphics museum

1st Logo (December 1, 2008-June 11, 2015)

Visuals: Within a white rounded vertical box, there is a plum-white vertical gradient silhouette of a boy leaping in the air with his hands spread out against a large star at the top, among other smaller stars surrounding him. "Ad Astra films" in a stacked format is within the bottom portion of the box.

Variants:

  • On Brides, the company name in its Georgian translation, reading "ადასტრა ფილმი" is placed underneath the logo.
  • On Jour 0, the logo is in black and white.

Technique: A still, digital graphic.

Audio: None.

Availability: It appears on short and feature length films from this period such as Le tonneau des Danaïdes, The Strange Ones, and Brides.

2nd Logo (March 1, 2012-May 23, 2014)

Visuals: On a black background, a neon line drawing of the beach shore of Cannes is drawn in by dodger blue and magenta lines, representing the ocean and land respectively. As a magenta lens flare flashes at the point all the lines meet, the paths shrink into the light before it releases three paths of rising light dust into the air. After twirling around for a while, they all combine and burst, forming the star, alongside a detailed version of the boy from before, both in purple. "ADASTRA FILMS" rises in underneath the image afterwards.

Variant: There is a variant featuring the previous logo where the bursting light spark forms the border whereas a horizontal line draws in within the bottom of the box and "Ad Astra" and "FILMS" slide upwards and downwards from said path respectively. In addition to this, the logo is darker.

Technique: 2D computer animation.

Audio: A reverbed ascending harp glissando. After a light whoosh, a gentle acoustic guitar jingle plays, ending with a ding.

Availability: The logo appears on Black Mulberry, L'assistante, and Total Freak. The former movie contains the early variant.
