Background

A.C.I.-Europa Film was an Italian film distribution company and a joint venture between Alleanza Cinematografica Italiana and Europa Film.

1st Logo (April 8, 1942)

Visuals: Fading in, there is a silhouette of a woman with her arms sideways riding on a bull, which appears to be on top of the Earth rotating at a vertical axis. Around the earth, a white, glowy atmosphere is seen and is emitting faint, white waves. The silhouette is revealed from a light source underneath the bull, revealing more of the bull and woman, who is revealed to be nude and facing towards the camera. As soon as it is fully visible, the 3D text "A.C.I." in a round sans-serif font rises from behind the bull and sits above it. The text fades away and is followed by an arched "EUROPA FILM" in the same font style fading in front of the Earth, which extends to the bottom. Finally, "presenta" in the same font style rises and zooms in from the bottom to the center, all while the logo starts to fade out.

Technique: A mix of cel animation and practical effects.

Audio: A dreamy string and brass theme with several high-pitched xylophone notes.

Availability: Seen only in A Pilot Returns.

2nd Logo (August 30, 1942-June 3, 1943)

Visuals: The logo starts with a cloudy sky background fading in. While it is fading in, a set of three white diagonal boxes fade in the middle and quickly zoom into the screen, followed by another set of white boxes doing the same except it is positioned right side up before the first set of boxes become out of view. At that point, the sky background slowly crossfades to a gray wall featuring a darker gray frame consisting of a concaved "A.C.I." letting off a shadow inside of three thinner white boxes. In this segment, the zooming boxes are still seen, albeit slightly more transparent than usual. The logo then crossfades to a segment where another copy of the frame albeit vertical is in front of the former frame which features "EUROPA" in a similar format in the middle and a small white cursive "film" sitting below. Lastly, the logo crossfades to a segment where the same diagonal frame is seen in front of the vertical frame but this time features a handwritten "presenta" in the middle. The logo then fades out.

Technique: Cel animation and chroma-keyed effects.

Audio: A soothing woodwind soundtrack with some high-pitched xylophone notes.

Audio Variant: On I tre Aquilotti, it's the same as the previous logo.

Availability: Seen only in I tre Aquilotti and Due cuori.
