Background

Alloy Entertainment is a company known for producing Gossip Girl (both the TV series, and the book series). On June 11, 2012, Warner Bros. Television acquired the company.

1st Logo (September 19, 2007)

Logo: On a gray shaded background, we see the text "ALLOY entertainment", with the former inside a black rectangle and the latter in black below it.

Technique: None.

Music/Sounds: None.

Availability: Unknown. Supposedly seen on the pilot episode of Gossip Girl. However, current prints of that episode use the next logo. Was most likely seen on the original airing in 2007.

2nd Logo (September 26, 2007-March 31, 2022)

Logo: On a gray-white gradient background, we see the text "alloyentertainment" with a reflection below it with the text in Century Gothic Bold, and a four-leaf clover above them, with the top left leaf as an outline. The logo shines as the background fades to full white.

Variant: On Significant Mother, the background is completely white for the entire duration of the logo.

Technique: The gradient background fading to white and the logo shining.

Music/Sounds: None.

Music/Sounds Variants:

  • On Pretty Little Liars, the start of the end theme plays over the logo.
  • On the short-lived show Significant Mother, a shining sound is heard.

Availability: Common. Seen on shows like Gossip Girl, The Vampire Diaries, Pretty Little Liars, The 100, The Originals and Legacies. It was also seen on How to Rock and the Disney Channel Original Movie Frenemies.

3rd Logo (August 7, 2020-)

Logo: On a light blue-white gradient background, we see various layers of the four-leaf clover logo in blue zooming out and rotating. Once the clover is almost finished forming, the company name from before rotates in letter-by-letter below the clover, with a shadow forming below them.

Variant: A short version that starts when the text rotates in exists. The clover is already formed here.

Technique: The clover rotating and zooming out, and the text forming.

Music/Sounds: None or the closing theme of the show.

Availability: Brand new. First seen on the movie Work It (2020), and later appeared on the 2021 iteration of Gossip Girl, Season 3 of You, Season 4 of Legacies (starting with episode 16) and Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin.
