Background

TV-Loonland AG (formerly TMO Film GmbH and TMO-Loonland) is a former German animation company that was founded by Peter Völkle in 1989. In 2000, the company acquired the television branch of Sony Wonder, which included Sunbow Entertainment and its catalogue and later purchased the British home entertainment company Metrodome Distribution. In 2008, Hasbro acquired the rights to the Marvel/Sunbow animated series based on their properties (Transformers, G.I. Joe, etc.) from TV-Loonland. In 2009, the company filed for bankruptcy and in 2011, it was acquired by fellow German company m4e (Made For Entertainment) AG, which was acquired by Belgian-based Studio 100 in 2017.

Visuals: On a white background, there are the words "TMO-LOONLAND". Below the text is a gold rectangle, with a blue dome on the bottom with a sheep on it.

Trivia: This ident is based on the Loonland Animation logo used in the 1990s.

Variants:

• On The Little Lulu Show, the background is black.
• On Babar: King of the Elephants and the German dub of Ned's Newt, the logo is in-credit.

Technique: A digital graphic.

Audio: The closing theme of the show.

Availability:

• The white background variant appears on Fat Dog Mendoza, while the black background variant appears on the third season of The Little Lulu Show.
• The in-credit version appears on Babar: King of the Elephants and the German dub of Ned's Newt.

Visuals: On a white background, a gold rectangle fades in. After that, there is a blue dome zooming out and the stretched "TV-LOONLAND AG" text flying out, radiating a shadow that actually moves behind the rectangle. After the logo forms, there is a sheep falling onto the dome. Then the logo freezes before it fades out or cuts to black.

Variants:

• A still variant also exists.
• On the Echo Bridge Home Entertainment DVD print of Connie the Cow, after the logo fades out, there is a text saying "This work has been registered in EGEDA. Work protected by the Audiovisuals Producers' Rights Administrations Body."
• On some shows, such as The Cramp Twins and the Christmas TV special Donner, the entire logo is 2D and has a copyright notice on the bottom.
• On some shows, the text and dome are a greenish cyan and a black background is used.
• Sometimes, the "AG" is missing from the logo.
• An in-credit version exists.
• On the final two seasons of Redwall, the still version of the logo cuts to the shorter version of the 1995 Nelvana "Space Polar Bear" logo starting from when the comet flies from the right.

Technique: CGI or a still graphic.

Audio: Two whoosh sounds followed by loud sheep noises, the closing theme of the show, or silence.

Availability:

• The standard version appears as a de-facto home video logo on many British Metrodome releases of TV-Loonland material. It also appears on Letters from Felix and most airings of Connie the Cow. It also was tacked onto the end of a Salty's Lighthouse episode included on the "Toddler Time!" compilation DVD released in the United Kingdom.
  • A shortened version appears on Henry's World and US Noggin (now as "Nick Jr.") prints of Connie the Cow.
• The white background still version can be seen on The Cramp Twins (including the first three UK DVD volumes), Hoze Hounds, Redwall and the Christmas TV special Donner.
• The black background still version can be found at the end of those episodes of shows found on post-2005 Metrodome DVDs, such as Volumes 4-5 of The Cramp Twins, and Sunbow Entertainment's Hasbro cartoons, including Inhumanoids.
• The in-credit version appears on Pat & Stan and later seasons of The Cramp Twins.
