Background

VIP Media Group was an German film studio that produced well-known films such as Stormbreaker, Edison, and DOA: Dead or Alive. The company became dormant in the early 2010s when was possibly forced into bankruptcy by a group of creditors by the Aramid Entertainment Film Investment Fund (now Orange Holdings LLC).

1st Logo (December 12, 2002)

Visuals: Over a white background, there is a green triangle broken in two places, and the yellow word "VIP" takes the bigger break. The word "Medienfonds" is below inside the triangle, and underlined "Film & Entertainment" is outside. The filmreel is placed at the background, overlapping the triangle with its film tail.

Technique: A still digital graphic.

Audio: None.

Availability: Only appeared on Global Effect.

2nd Logo (September 17, 2005-February 28, 2008)


Visuals: On a space background, there's a green light beams from the left opening. Then, the green plasma shoots into the space, glowing and forming the broken triangle with the yellow word "VIP" inside. The words "MEDIENFONDS" are below the triangle.

Variant: Since 2006, the short version is in use (without the space blast), and the name is now translated to "VIP MEDIA GROUP". On a unknown film and at the end of Stormbreaker, a long version of this variant was used instead.

Technique: CGI.

Audio: A sci-fi orchestral fanfare, otherwise silent or the opening/closing theme of the movie.

Availability: The long version is seen on The Contract, Edison and at the end of Stormbreaker. The short version is seen on DOA: Dead or Alive and I'm Not There.
