Logo: Superimposed in the credits, we see the text "ITS" over a background of white swirly circles. Below it was the text "INDEPENDENT TELEVISION SYSTEM", with the first letters of each word in the same font.

Variant: Sometimes, the text is in a different font.

Music/Sounds: The end theme of the show.

Availability: Long extinct. Most programmes with the logo are wiped, so it was seen on The Magic Circle Club and Where the Action Is.

2nd Logo (1970-1980)

Logo: Superimposed in the credits, we see a large "0", with a part of it cut to include the number "10", and the word "NETWORK" below the number.

Variants:

  • Starting in 1974, the "NETWORK" text was taken out of the "0" number, so the word "NETWORK" appears below the logo.
  • An earlier version exists seen on Happening '71, with the text "CHANNEL" is shown above the "0" number, with the names of affiliates shown on the left and right sides of the logo.

Availability: Extinct. Seen on several programmes from the era. It was retained on Blankety Blanks and The Restless Years. Old episodes of Prisoner have the logo.

3rd Logo (1980-1981)

Logo: Superimposed in the credits, we see the number "10" inside a TV tube with some cote outs and cuts on the rectangle. The word "NETWORK" appears in a Broadway font appear above the logo.

Variant:

  • Sometimes, the text "PRODUCTION" is shown below the logo.
  • Sometimes, the text "MELBOURNE" is shown below the logo with nothing on top.

  • On World Expo '88, the logo is metallic.
  • On some episodes of Richmond Hill, the symbol does not appear due to an error.

8th Logo (1989-1991)


Logo: On a black background, we see an orange rectangle with a "10" in the left half, and a map of Australia with some gold lines behind it on the right.

  • Sometimes the logo is superimposed over the credits.
  • From 1989-1990, "TV AUSTRALIA" in a wide serif font is located above the logo.

Availability: Seen on shows of the era, most notably Double Dare and Neighbors, as well as early episodes of Let the Blood Run Free.

9th Logo (1991-1995)

Logo: On a black background, a cloudy blue circle with "ten" in a yellow futuristic font (named "Microgramma D OT") and a faded border spins from the left side of the logo. The logo shines and clouds move towards the logo.

Variants:

  • On Video Hits, the logo then flips in.
  • In the logo's first year, the text "the entertainment network" flips in below the logo.

Availability: Seen on Network Ten shows from the era, such as episodes of Neighbours, Jeopardy! and later episodes of Double Dare.

10th Logo (1995-1996)


Logo: On a black background, we see the Network Ten logo (with a silver "ten" this time) turning upwards with three silver rings rotating around it (like the atomic symbol), before merging into one and forming the logo's border.

Variant: A still in-credit version of the logo exists.

Technique: Simple 2D CGI.

Music/Sounds: The ending theme.

Availability: This logo was used specifically on Cheez TV in it's early years. Was also seen on Neighbours from the era.

11th Logo (1996-1999)


Logo: On a black background, a CGI version of the Network Ten logo appears from the right of the screen before rotating and panning out to the center, stopping there. "Network Ten" and "Australia", both in yellow, fade in below.

Variants:

  • Sometimes, the preceding credits appear as the Network Ten logo comes in before fading to black.
  • On some shows, like Tales of the South Seas, a copyright appears below the logo.
  • Sometimes, the logo is still.

Technique: CGI animation.

Music/Sounds: A drumbeat and a 3-note keyboard theme. Sometimes, the end theme plays over it.

Availability: Seen on Network Ten shows during this period, such as episodes of Neighbours from the era, as well as Tales of the South Seas.

12th Logo (1999-2000)


Logo: On a black background, we see the Network Ten logo rotating. "NETWORK TEN AUSTRALIA" zooms in below the logo and the URL fades in below it.

Technique: The rotating.

Music/Sounds: A soft guitar theme, or the end theme of the show.

Availability: Seen on Network Ten shows from the period.

13th Logo (2000-2001)


Logo: On a water background, we see several blue streaks dashing around to form the top right quarter of the Network Ten logo (with the rest being off-screen), while the URL "www.ten.com.au" flashes in a couple of times before disappearing and wiping in from the right.

Trivia: This was also used as a station ID throughout the time period. It was designed by Attik.

Variants:

  • There is a secondary version where the bottom right quarter of the logo is shown instead.
  • There is another version that is the same as the standard one, except the background is aqua with bubbles constantly moving through it, and the logo is formed by a trail of sparks.
  • More variations of this logo exist, mainly being used only as station IDs.

Technique: 3D computer-generated animation.

Music/Sounds: A bubbling sound, a whoosh and twinkle the streaks make, followed by a 2-note keyboard and finishes with a synthesized female voice echoing "Ten".

Music/Sounds Variant: In the secondary version, it uses a shrill high pitched synthesizer, bubble sounds that are much louder than the original, and a quiet whoosh when the logo appears

14th Logo (2001-2002)


Logo: On an out-of-focus blue background, many streaks dart around to form the Network Ten logo on the left of screen. The URL www.ten.com.au fades in to the right of the logo.

Technique: Computer-generated animation.

Music/Sounds: A calm techno ditty with a female voice whispering "Ten".

Availability: Seen on Network Ten shows produced in this period.

Legacy: The jingle introduced in this logo would go on to be used for 16 years, becoming a hallmark of the network in the process.

15th Logo (2002-2005)


Logo: On a darkly-lit blue background with the spotlight slightly moving around, we see the Ten Network logo. The URL "www.ten.com.au" wipes in below.

Variant: One early variant had several light blue squares blinking in and causing the URL to appear below, and the URL was in a different font.

Technique: 2D computer animation.

Music/Sounds: Same as the previous logo.

Availability: Seen on Network Ten produced shows of the time, such as Neighbours.

16th Logo (2005-2008)


Logo: On a black background, a small blue circle grows at the top of the screen, followed by a yellow one, and the Network Ten logo, with the remnants of the circle forming the outline. The company's URL wipes itself in below.

Variants: On Kenny's World, the show's logo zooms in and turns into the Network Ten logo.

Technique: Same as the last logo.

Music/Sounds: Same as the last two logos.

Availability: Uncommon. It was last seen on a lot of Network Ten-produced shows such as Friday Night Days, Big Brother Australia and older episodes of Neighbours.

17th Logo (2008-2018)


Logo: Just the then-current Network Ten logo with the URL below.

Later Variants:

  • After 2013, the Ten logo is updated. It's now a lighter, shinier blue and the outline is in silver, while the text is white. In this version, the logo fades in from a flash, then the URL, which is shortened to "ten.com.au" fades in.
  • Around 2015, the URL was updated to "tenplay.com.au" to reflect Ten's new website.

Technique: Simple 2D computer graphics.

Music/Sounds: Same as the previous three logos.

Availability: Common. It appears on shows produced by Fremantle Media Australia (like Biggest Loser Australia, MasterChef Australia and 2008-2010 episodes of Neighbours) as well as Talkin' 'bout Your Generation (produced by Granada Australia).
