Mega Video

From the Audiovisual Identity Database, the motion graphics museum

Logo (Late 1983)

Visuals: On a black background, four green diagonal lines form and begin rotating counter-clockwise and moving towards the top and bottom-centers of the screen, leaving a trail that makes a large doily-like design in the process. A few seconds later, the words "MEGA VIDEO" appear in one line letter-by-letter. After the letters are done appearing, four more rotating lines, which are white, appear where the green lines stopped rotating and finish the design.

Trivia: The animation layout for this logo is very similar to that of both the logo for ATA Video and the first logo for Temple Video.

Technique: Computer animation possibly done on a BBC Micro.

Audio: A flute and piano fanfare, which is "The Appliance Of Science (D)" by Keith Mansfield.
