Temple Video

From the Audiovisual Identity Database, the motion graphics museum

1st Logo (July 1982-1983)

Visuals: On a black background, four red diagonal lines form and begin rotating counter-clockwise and moving towards the top and bottom-centers of the screen, leaving a trail that makes a large doily-like design in the process. A few seconds later, the words "TEMPLE VIDEO" appear in one line letter-by-letter. After the letters are done appearing, four more rotating lines, which are white, appear where the red lines stopped rotating and finish the design.

Trivia: The animation layout for this logo is very similar to that of both the logo for ATA Video and Mega Video.

Technique: Computer animation possibly done with a BBC Micro.

Audio: Superstar Fanfare (H), a synthesized version of Keith Mansfield's Superstar Fanfare, which was also used for Cyclo Video's second logo.

2nd Logo (1983)

Visuals: On a black background is the sun rising over the ruins of a red temple. Below it, there are the words "TEMPLE VIDEO" in a black box surrounded by a green outline.
