Background

Pieces Interactive is a Swedish video game developer founded in Skövde in 2007 by nine people. The company was acquired by THQ Nordic in 2018.



1st Logo (November 27, 2008-December 17, 2009)

Visuals: On a black background, "Pieces Interactive®" is shown at a small scale. A stylised, "S"-like shape made up of right triangles and with a yellow green-cyan gradient is seen hopping and moving along the top of the text before disappearing into the dark. The symbol at its full scale fades in on top of the logo.

Technique: 2D computer animation.

Audio: None.

Availability: It was only used on Puzzlegeddon.

2nd Logo (February 4, 2010-May 9, 2019)

Visuals: This is a still version of the previous logo.

Variants:

  • The alignment of the symbol may vary, sometimes being next to the text where the company name is left aligned and stacked.
  • On Fret Nice, the logo is shown within a black box.
  • On Kill to Collect, the logo appears through a glitchy static effect on a smoky purple background.

Technique: A still, digital graphic.

Audio: None or the opening theme of the game.

Availability: The logo can be seen on Fret Nice, all installments in the Magicka franchise, Kill to Collect, and the Ragnarock and Atlantis expansion packs of Titan Quest.

3rd Logo (March 20, 2024)

Visuals: Against a grey bordered rhombus, a narrow white cloth is seen wrapping around three floating triangular shards coloured yellow green, medium aquamarine, and light sea green. Underneath the logo, there is the text "PIECES INTERACTIVE" in a stacked format.

Technique: A still, digital graphic.

Audio: None.

Availability: This logo debuted on the 2024 Alone in the Dark game.
