Background

The Adventure Company was a publishing division of Canadian video game developer DreamCatcher Interactive. It was launched in January 2002 so that DreamCatcher could publish their adventure titles under this brand. As with its parent company, The Adventure Company was acquired by Nordic Games through the outbuy of JoWood Productions, and became a publishing label of Nordic.

1st Logo (June 12, 2002-March 2003)

Visuals: Just the slightly embossed text "THE ADVENTURE COMPANYTM" stacked on a black background.

Variant: On Auryn Quest, the logo is below the DreamCatcher logo.

Technique: A still, digital graphic.

Audio: None or the opening theme of the game.

Availability: Seen on Auryn Quest and the trailer for The Omega Stone: Riddle of the Sphinx II.

2nd Logo (October 29, 2002-June 9, 2009)

Visuals: The words "ADVENTURETM" and "COMPANY" are seen stacked slightly off-center to each other, with "THE" on top of the former. Three lines underline the words, one of which connects to the top of the first "A", and another of which connects to the top of the "C". The whole logo is slanted inwards to the top.

Variants:

  • On the trailer for Curse of Atlantis: Thorgal's Quest, "presents" is seen below the logo.
  • On The Cameron Files: Pharaoh's Curse, the DreamCatcher logo is seen in small below the logo.

Audio: None or the opening theme of the game.

Availability: Seen on most of the company's releases The Cameron Files: Pharaoh's Curse to Sherlock Holmes vs. Jack The Ripper.
