Background

Optik Software was a small game software company located in Pennsylvania. They published two games and developed one more, but soon went out of business in May 1997.

1st Logo (1995)

Visuals: There is a straight stony circle with another 3D blue circle inside it, turned right. The latter serves an "O" letter for the word "OPTIK", while other letters are golden. The word projects to the right in perspective view. The full name in red swirls around the stony circle, reading "OPTIK SOFTWARE, INC.".

Technique: A still, CGI graphic.

Audio: None.

Availability: Can be found on Xixit and Igor for DOS.

2nd Logo (August 31, 1997)

Visuals: On a black background, there are two sets of red curves rotating around the central dot. There are four lines rotating counter-clockwise and three rotating clockwise. They do not intersect and move in the gaps between each other. Finally the lines stop, as one set covers the 1/2 of the full circle at the right side, and other set leaves roughly 1/8 of the circle open at the left side, but both sets touch each other on the top. The glowing white word "OPTIK" then wipes in from the left to right, in a mysterious font, below.

Technique: CGI.

Audio: Ominous synthesized tune with loud clicking sounds, and loud clapping sounds.

Availability: Can be found on War, Inc.
