Background
SegaSoft was formed in 1995 as a joint venture between Sega of America and CSK International to publish games for PC. It was closed in 2000.
Logo (1995-2000)
Visuals: A blue ball roll onto a white background, moves to the right and releases clouds of blue particles, which form the word "SEGASOFT". The ball itself becomes red and poses like an "O", casting a shadow below.
Variants:
- A still version is more common.
- On Vigilance, the logo is on a black background with a white glow behind, and the ball is pink.
- There were other still variants.
Technique: FMV computer animation.
Audio: A weird synth note which becomes low-pitched at the end.
Availability: The animated version is seen on Obsidian, Emperor of the Fading Suns and Space Bar. The still version appeared on Vigilance, Three Dirty Dwarves, Scud: The Disposable Assassin, Bug Too! and several Sega Saturn games, among others.
