Background

14° East was a strategy division of Interplay Entertainment, founded in 1999. It went defunct in 2002.

Logo (1999-2002)

Visuals: On a black background, the 14° East logo zooms in. It consists of a golden sextant facing the screen, set in front of a twilight sky with a few stars and mountains in the background. Surrounding it is a white border, with a thicker bottom to accommodate the black Times New Roman text "14° East" The index arm moves right and "14" appears inside the index bar.

Technique: 2D digital animation with a CGI sextant.

Audio: A somber synth entry or the game's opening theme.

Availability: Seen on several Star Trek games from Interplay and Fallout Tactics: Brotherhood of Steel.
