Background

Clasikaletet (קלסיקלטת) is an Israeli company who distributes videos and books aimed at children. They are slightly known to Barney fans for their involvement in the Hebrew version Hachaverim Shel Barney, produced in Israel from 1997 to 2000.

1st (known) Logo (1988-1992)

Visuals: On a navy blue marble background, five yellow curvy lines (two from the left and three from the right) draw themselves in from their respective sides to form a group of lines a la the Disney's Sing-Along-Songs logo, which also leave a drop shadow. Then, the company name in Hebrew (קלסיקלטת), divided into two groups of letters with a rainbow color gradient, sweep in from the top and bottom of the screen and briefly swerve around before settling in front of the lines, arranged in a zig-zag. Then the text shines and the rainbow color gradient in the letters moves to the left in a continuous pattern. This cycle is repeated until the logo ends.

Technique: 2D computer animation.

Audio: An excerpt of the instrumental song "Mammagamma" by The Alan Parsons Project.

Availability: Check for Hebrew tapes of children's shows from the company with a Clasikaletet print. [Examples?]

2nd (known) Logo (1992-2002)

Visuals: On a blue sky background with clouds, a side of a clipboard zooms in, then faces the screen. The top part has yellow and black stripes while the bottom has curvy lives with rainbow colors (blue, green, yellow and red). In front of the lines is the company name in white Hebrew letters. The top of the clipboard moves up and down as it zooms away. As this happens, the letters fly down and go up behind the clipboard and go through it. The camera then pans behind the letters and goes through it as it zooms away and stops with the words on the clipboard.

Technique: CGI.

Audio: A rock piano tune with drumbeats.

Availability: Can be seen on old Hebrew tapes, such as those of Thomas & Friends and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
