Background

In 2006, the founders of RHI reacquired Hallmark Entertainment and reverted back to its previous RHI moniker. The company had good relationships with the Hallmark Channel, of which RHI was a partner until 2008, and ion Television, who had aired RHI's telemovies until the late 2000s. In 2011, Halmi stepped down as president and CEO of RHI, and a year later in March 2012, RHI Entertainment became Sonar Entertainment, with Stewart Till taking over.
