Background

Gallowgate Productions was the production company of Anthony McPartlin and Declan Donnelly, better known as Ant & Dec.

Logo (July 10, 2006-April 2, 2011)

Visuals: On a dimly lit dodger blue background with curved white-grey flooring, a white cartoony TV set, with an antenna consisting of a blue ball connected to the set through a curved wire, spins and zooms out of the screen. After making one full rotation, the TV set spins slightly clockwise and zooms in where a white "G" appears within the antenna through a sliding effect within the antenna's contents. "ALLOWGATE" in dark grey wipes in after the "G", followed by the white words "A" and "PRODUCTION" right-aligned to "GALLOWGATE". The text moves along with the TV set as it zooms out and spins clockwise.

Variants:

  • On Duel, the text "a FrenchTV format" fades in on the bottom left section of the screen after the TV set stops spinning.
  • On Ant & Dec's Christmas Show, the logo is snowing.
  • On PokerFace, the logo in print form is displayed within the Talkback Thames logo where it is placed underneath said company's logo alongside the text "in association with".
  • On Ant & Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway, the logo is shown within the 2006 ITV Productions logo.
  • On Beat the Star, the logo is placed on a dimly lit blue background and shares the screen with the 2006 Diverse Productions logo.

Technique: CGI.

Audio: The closing theme of the programme.

Availability: The logo first appeared on PokerFace and was later seen on series 7-9 of Ant & Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway. The standalone version appears on Duel, Ant & Dec's Christmas Show, and Ant & Dec's Push the Button, the latter of which being the logo's final appearance.
