Background

Arte Radiotelevisisivo Argentino (Artear) is an Argentine television production company established on December 22, 1989. Bidding either to take charge of Canal 11 or Canal 13's production of programming, they were given the licesnse to the latter. From 1990 until Canal 13's rebranding to El Trece, the company was credited as the producer of the aforementioned channel's programming. Beginning with the rebranding, El Trece is credited instead of Artear.



1st Logo (April 4, 1990-Early April 1992)

Visuals: A gold ball flies in from the top and and a gold tile surface rises from the bottom on a blue sky background. As the former rotates to the left, it reveals "artear" engraved within it. The ball rests near the center of the screen and on top of the tile surface. Afterwards, "Fue una producción" scrolls in on the top section of the screen from the right. Alongside the start of the logo sequence, a blurred blue iris effect begins and ends the animation sequence.

Availability: The logo appears on Peor Es Nada and other Canal 13 original productions from this period.

2nd Logo (April 14, 1992-March 4?, 1994)

Visuals: On a dark blue background (the same used across Canal 13's 1992 branding), the white text "fue una producción Artear" in a stacked format and with the latter word about three times larger than the former string of text is shown with a black shadow facing the bottom right. Then, the text fades out to make room for the 1992 Canal 13 logo on top of "Estar cerca es muy bueno.".

Availability: It appears on episodes of Canal 13 productions from this period such as Montaña Rusa.

3rd Logo (March 7-September 8, 1994)

Visuals: On a white background, "Fue una producción" is above the clockwise rotating four pieces of the Canal 13 sun symbol, continuing to rotate after the preceding part reaches its normal position. "ARTEAR ARGENTINA" fades in below the logo in a stacked format row by row. Afterwards, all lines of text disappear and the sun slides to the left to make room for "13" to zoom out and stop by the logo's right. The tagline from before in black fades in underneath the logo.

Variant: Sometimes, the logo is still.

Availability: The logo appears on Nano until September 8, 1994, when it switched over to the next logo the next day.

4th Logo (September 9, 1994-December 13, 1996)

Visuals: Ona a black background, the sides of three pyramids (violet, red, and orange beginning from the outside) are opened, revealing the succeeding geometric shape inside one another while rotating clockwise on a flat surface. The flattening triangles tilt angles to not directly overlap with the preceding polygons and disappear after all four have opened. The triangles crossfade into the Canal 13 sun logo and freezes. "COPYRIGHT (YEAR)" and "ARTEAR ARGENTINA", the latter of which is in a stacked format, fade in over and underneath the logo respectively.

Variants: The copyright text over the logo may be worded or formatted differently, sometimes being featured in a stacked format or have the year set to Roman numerals

Availability: This logo appears at the end of Canal 13 original programming from this period, which includes Poliladron, Alén, luz de luna, Verdad Consecuencia, among others.

5th Logo (December 16, 1996-July 17, 1998)

Visuals: On a black background, "para" on top of the Canal 13 sun symbol used at the time next to the stacked text "ARTEAR ARGENTINA" is shown on the bottom of the screen, being paired with a co-producer's logo, which is shown on top of Canal 13's.

Technique: A still, computerized graphic.

Audio: None.

Availability: It is used on episodes of Gasoleros from this period.

6th Logo (July 20, 1998-June 6, 2000)

Visuals: There are two bright shaded horizontal bars on the upper section of the screen on a teal ringed surface background. "Una realización de" and "para" are within these two bars while the co-producer's logo is in between them. Artear Argentina's logo, now CGI rendered with a shadow facing the right, has the sun symbol standing on the center of the rings and "ARTEAR ARGENTINA" in a center stacked format is palced below it.

Availability: The logo can be seen on Campeones de la vida, Vulnerables, Primicias, among other Canal 13 productions that premiered new episodes from this period.

7th Logo (June 7, 2000-March 12, 2001)

Visuals: A black and white half is split between a thick, gray horizontal bar containing "para". "una produccion de" is placed above the co-proudcer's logo underneath and a spinning version of the El Trece sun symbol at the time is shown with a shadow on top of "ARTEAR ARGENTINA" in a stacked format. Artear's logo is on the bottom half of the screen.

Availability: The logo appears on episodes of Primicias from this period.

8th Logo (March 13, 2001-January 4, 2002)

Visuals: First, blue glitter is seen blowing off in the right section of the screen, disappearing shortly after the Artear Argentina logo's appearance. Not long after the logo fades in, the first notice featuring the co-producer's logo, alongside "PARA" in between two horizontal thin white lines, fade in. Following this, the rotating El Trece sum symbol from before appear below the bottom line, followed by "ARTEAR ARGENTINA". At the end of the sequence, the background is solid black.

9th Logo (January 7-April 18, 2002)

Visuals: Following the same background structure as the 2000 logo, there are two backgrounds: the top being white and the bottom a cloudy, pixelated teal pattern, is split between a yellow horizontal line. The emergence of the foreground elements follow the same animation and timing as the previous logo.

Technique: 2D computer animation and CGI.

Audio: None.

Availability: This logo can be seen on episodes of Son Amores and 099 Central from this period.

10th Logo (April 19, 2002-June 27, 2003)

Audio version

Visuals: On a dodger blue background with lighter shaded squircle tiles on the right, a rounded rectangular white shaded box containing "una producción de" slowly slides towards the left. The box disappears while multiple tiles burst out of the surface and change their coloring to the background's color. The screen zooms in during this process in which one of the tiles flip out and the rest fade out. The remaining tile reveals the co-producer's logo inside. On the bottom of the screen, a transparent dodger blue shaded rectangular box with a white border slides in from the left with an arrow fading in. Initially facing upwards, the arrow tilts 90 degrees clockwise to face the rotating El Trece sun symbol from before on top of "artear argentina".

Technique: 2D computer animation and CGI.

Audio: A blast sound effect followed by a soothing, deep warbling note. Otherwise, none.

Availability: The logo debuted on the tenth episode of 099 Central. It later appeared on Durmiendo con mi jefe from this period.

11th Logo (June 30, 2003-June 2004)

Visuals: On a white background, multiple circular pieces float upwards from the bottom of the screen while "FUE UNA PRODUCCION DE" in black is shown on the top, fading in not long after the start of the logo sequence. One of these pieces reveal the co-producer's logo within a black ring. A right arrow inside a filled circle with a thick border slides out of the ring to the right while the rotating Canal 13 logo from before fades in within a a relatively larger, white filled circle with a black border on top of "artear argentina", the former of which is in the logo's color scheme.

Variants:

  • There are four different types of colors used to theme the logo: green, red, magenta, and dodger blue.
  • The logo may have inverted colors where the background is in the logo's color scheme instead of white.

12th Logo (April 2005-May 2006)

Visuals: A pink laser-like path is seen curling and then zooming past the screen where a floating medium violet red light path laden background with a tunnel briefly appearing at the beginning of this sequence. In addition to this, "PRODUCIDO POR" is shown on top of the co-producer's logo and zooming towards the screen. While a dotted ring is formed in a counterclockwise direction behind the logo, said element zooms past the screen and in comes the El Trece syn symbol underneath and over "PARA" and "ARTEAR ARGENTINA" respectively. The background changes to a black space background with two flying red light paths, the second of which is initially in the background before flying right into the ring of the sun symbol and into the screen.

13th Logo (May 2006-February 6, 2008)

Visuals: A black-gray vertical gradient background fades in where multiple gray boxes zoom towards it in a perspective effect, covering it in solid shades of said color. The central box contains the co-producer's logo underneath "PRODUCIDO POR" in a red box, in addition to several red X marks scattered around it and red line twirls. After the logo zooms right into the screen and past it, the Artear Argentina logo is revealed complete with the spinning Canal 13 sun logo and "PARA" on top of it. To its right, a thick red ring is drawn in while an X mark spins and pops in within it, all while inside a thin red line path with a "C" shaped right end. The logo zooms in and dips to black afterwards.

Availability: It appears on episodes of El Gran Juego and Son de Fierro from this period. In spite of the next logo debuting, the logo was still used on the latter show until its finale.

14th Logo (April 16, 2007-November 28, 2008)

Visuals: On a light gray gradient background with "ELTRECE" tilted towards the right and with the last two digits of the copyright year in gray underneath, an upper view of multiple vertical white rectangular blocks emerge from the distance. Several of these blocks quickly zoom and past towards the screen while others move at a slower pace. One of these is a rounded rectangle containing the co-producer's logo alongside "UNA PRODUCCION DE" in white and "PARA" near the tile. After slowly moving closer to the screen, the central tile zooms past it, revealing the rotating Canal 13 logo from before with "CANAL" next to it tilted 45 degrees counterclockwise and a black and gray loading bar on the bottom. As the logo slowly zooms in and the loading bar fills up, the website URL with the channel name bolded is typed in above the latter. Finally, the screen brightens to white.
