1st Logo (March 27, 1984-August 19, 1999)

Visuals: A white camera lens shutter with two white borders is behind a group of clouds quickly flying from the right. Below the logo is the company and co-producer's name as well as the copyright notice on the bottom.

Variants:

  • In the logo's early years, "MAYA VISION" is shown with an overline and underline.
  • In the early 90's, the company name is underlined by a red scribble.
  • On In the Footsteps of Alexander the Great, this logo shares the screen with the 1988 BBC logo.
  • On American prints of In the Footsteps of Alexander the Great, the 1988 BBC and 1984 MPT logos both have a black outer glow.

Availability: This logo can be seen on Ricochet for the early variant, Age of Dissent for the red scribble variant, and In the Footsteps of Alexander the Great.

2nd Logo (November 24, 2000-December 14, 2006)

Visuals: Within a rectangular box, the stacked black text "MayaVision INTERNATIONAL", the former of which is in a small, stretched format, is on the top of a moving background of an ocean shore on a mostly sunny day. Within the background, the clouds are seen spreading apart as the sun shines brighter.

Variants:

  • On Durga: The Goddess Comes to London, the logo is cropped to the upper portion of the box where the text mostly covers its contents and also shares the screen with the 2002 Five logo which appears on the left side of the screen.
  • On programmes produced for the BBC, this logo shares the screen with the 1997 BBC logo.

Technique: 2D computer animation.

Audio: The ending theme of the programme or none.

Availability: The logo's earliest appearance was on Conquistadors. The logo would later appear on In Search of Shakespeare, In Search of Myths and Heroes, and Durga: The Goddess Comes to London.

3rd Logo (August 24, 2007-)

Visuals: Set on a clockwise-rotating partly cloudy background, a light blue lens flare passes the screen from left to right. After leaving the screen, the company name from before in white morphs from the light's path, zooming out and deblurring with each letter appearing from right to left unsynchronized. Afterwards, "INTERNATIONAL" from before in white fades in below the company name. This logo is usually within a rectangular box.

Variants:

  • The size of the box may vary, which may include a box cropped to where the text covers a majority of it or wider where more of the background is seen.
  • On Sacred Journeys with Bruce Feiler, a fullscreen standalone version of the logo is used where a vignette surrounds the background.
  • An alternate in-credit variant that only shows the text exists.
  • On programmes produced for the BBC, this logo shares the screen with the 1997 BBC logo.

Availability: The logo's earliest appearance was on The Story of India and it would go on to appear on the company's other docuseries, which include The Story of England, The Great British Story: a People's History, and The Story of China. The latter programme utilizes the in-credit variant.
