Background

When the original King Features Entertainment was absorbed into Hearst Entertainment, King Features Syndicate became a licensing entity, and remains a strip company. Once Hearst Entertainment was disposed in 2015, the company entered into animation production.

1st Logo (November 9, 2004)

Visuals: A big flash appears which reveals the planet earth, which is spinning. A ribbon is pulling out behind from the earth (with the words "KING FEATURES" on the left ribbon, and the word "SYNDICATE" appearing on the right ribbon), and the symbol from the first logo appears on top of the earth. The flash dies down and the finished product ends up on a dark teal background, which looks similar to the 1960 logo, only this time the TV is changed to a globe of the Earth.

Technique: CGI.

Audio: None, but on the Fox airings of the movie, a generic theme is playing.

Availability: It only appears on the direct-to-video movie Popeye's Voyage: The Quest for Pappy.

2nd Logo (February 18, 2022- )

Visuals: Over a black background is "KINGFEATURES" in white, with the tittle from the "I" of "KING" being a small crown. Below is the byline "A UNIT OF HEARST". The logo itself is a variation of the current King Features Syndicate logo.

Technique: A still, digital graphic.

Audio: None.

Availability: Appears on The Cuphead Show!.
