Jam TV (Australia)

From the Audiovisual Identity Database, the motion graphics museum

1st Logo (February 26, 2013-September 21, 2016)

Visuals: The inside of a shiny green plastic tube is shown, initially facing the left side before rotating to face the screen. While this happens, a reflection of the tube's clock is shown on the side of the centre circular part of the device. When the tube faces the screen, an interconnected "JAMTV" is shown with "A U S T R A L I A" placed below it. A light blue lens flare is also shown on the bottom right corner, slowly floating upwards for the remainder of the sequence. Then, the lime green lights inside the device flash up, floating within the shape of the text.

Variant: An in-credit version exists, featuring "JAM" and "A U S T R A L I A" in white and "TV" with a dark-shaded gradient on the bottom.

Technique: CGI.

Audio: A soft electronic whoosh throughout the sequence.

Availability: This logo appears on Aussie Millions Poker and The Recruit.

2nd Logo (September 9, 2018-September 28, 2022)

Visuals: On a black background, a close up of a 3D glass version of the logo from before facing the right is shown with a black and white photograph of the streets of a city being shown on the centre and left sections. As "JAM" is being filled with green particles, the logo covers the photograph before the screen cuts to a full shot of the logo facing the screen. The particles, having mostly filled "JAM" with said colour at this point, glows and dissolves to a solid green colour. The particles filling up "TV" become white. The "T"'s arm extends to the upper right half of the "M", covering it with white. "AUSTRALIA" is also white in this logo. A reflection of the logo can be seen on the bottom centre section of the screen.

Variant: Sometimes, a copyright stamp is added on the bottom of the screen.

Technique: CGI.

Audio: The ending theme of the program.

Availability: It appears on City of Evil, Making Their Mark, and Show Me the Money.

3rd Logo (June 27, 2023-)

Visuals: "JAM TV", with the text in a rounded font and all but the first letter being connected, is shown in a dark grey background and the same camera angle as the previous logo except the text is in a silver texture and parts of it reflect blue. When the full shot of the logo is shown, a stylised green bordered right arrowhead made up of three pieces with curved ends, is next to the text. The background, with some faint light waves on the top section of the screen, light up, displaying a lens flare on the top right and bottom left corners. While this happens, "JAM TV" gains coloring from left to right, now having a light blue-blue horizontal gradient fill.

Technique: CGI.

Audio: It starts with a deep warbling whoosh, followed by a buzz that leads into a high pitched electronic whoosh as the lens flares appear and the text gains its colours.

Availability: The logo debuted on The Longest Feud: Chappell v Botham and was later seen on Danielle Laidley: Two Tribes.
