1st Logo (March 29, 1988-March 29, 2007)

Visuals: On a paper background, there is a green oblong tree growing and the name "HARTSWOOD FILMS" forming a semicircle above it. There are also "A" and "PRODUCTION" around the logo, and the channel info below.

Variants:

  • Sometimes, the logo is still.
  • A white version exists.
  • To the mid-'90s, the name font was changed to the current one, which was also used in the second logo.
  • On season 1 of My Good Friend, the logo is on a black background with the text in white.
  • On season 2 of My Good Friend, the background is a dimly lit tan color and the text is black with a shadow effect.
  • On season 7 of Men Behaving Badly, the background is tinted brown and the bottom text "In association with Pearson Television International for BBC Television" is in the same color as the logo itself.
  • On season 4 of Coupling, the background is darker.
  • Sometimes, this logo also shares the screen with other logos (including the 1988 and 1997 BBC and 1999 Channel 4 "Square" logos).

Audio: The ending theme of the show.

Availability: Seen on older shows, such as Men Behaving Badly, Coupling, and Aviators.

  • The first two shows can also be easily found on DVD releases as well as on-demand.
  • The "Production for Thames Television Plc." variant of this logo was also seen on a January 23, 1996 rerun of a season 2 episode of Men Behaving Badly on BBC2.
  • The "In association with Thames for BBC Television" variant of this logo with the 1988 BBC logo is also preserved on Tubi streaming prints of season 3 of Men Behaving Badly, which is then followed by the 2001 FremantleMedia International logo.
  • The white logo variant was used on the movie After Thomas, Border Cafe, The Savages, and The Welsh Great Escape.

2nd Logo (June 16, 2007-August 8, 2010)

Visuals: On a black background, there is the tree with a different design, looking more spherical with a few relief effects. The name also gains the relief and gradient look. There is "for" below, and the logo is reduced to make enough room for the BBC ident.

Technique: Same as before.

Audio: The ending theme of the show.

Availability: Can be seen on Jekyll, and the first season of Sherlock.

3rd Logo (January 1, 2012-December 24, 2020)

Visuals: Inside a white box, a print version of the oblong tree from before is seen with the text "HARTSWOOD FILMS" in a stacked format below and divided by a line.

Variants:

  • Shows produced by the company's western division has "FILMS" replaced with "WEST".
    • Season 2 of Sherlock has "HARTSWOOD" arced over the tree and "WEST" under it.
  • On In Search of Dracula with Mark Gatiss, the logo is inside a green box.
  • On Dracula, the logo is seen without its box and changes to red.
  • On Roald and Beatrix: The Tail of the Curious Mouse, the logo is snowing. Like the above variant, the box was removed.

Availability: It can be seen on the remaining seasons of Sherlock as well as its video game, Sherlock: the Network, Dracula, The Guilty, and Roald and Beatrix: The Tail of the Curious Mouse.

4th Logo (May 15, 2022-)

Visuals: On a black background, a brown stylized tree is shown above the stacked text "HARTSWOOD FILMS".

Technique: A still digital graphic.

Audio: None.

Availability: Seen on The Time Traveler's Wife and The Control Room.
