1st Logo (October 9, 1986-1987)
Logo: We begin with a white flash that reveals a gold gradient background. The logo fades in which consists of the silver-gold gradient letters "FBC" in separate dark blue gradient squares with dark bronze borders. Underneath is the name "FOX BROADCASTING COMPANY" inside of a dark blue gradient rectangle. The gold fades out and shadows appear behind the squares.
Variant: Sometimes, the text "IN STEREO (WHERE AVAILABLE)" fades in underneath.
Technique: The logo flashing in, the background fading, the shadows appearing behind the logo. Simple 80's animation.
Music/Sounds: The opening theme to the show.
Availability: Was seen on The Late Show with Joan Rivers.
