Background

Fifty Fathoms was a television production company that was formed by BBC employee Patrick Spence in 2010, as a subsidiary of Tiger Aspect Productions. Spence would leave the company in 2019 to join ITV Studios.

Logo: On a black background, a picture wipes in, revealing it was the image of clouds with some wind over it. The word "FIFTY FATHOMS" in a Futura font fades in over the picture, and then the byline appears below.

Bylines:

  • 2014-2016: Bylineless
  • 2016-2020: "part of Endemol Shine UK" or "part of EndemolShineGroup"
  • 2020-: "We are Banijay", with the Banijay logo to the left of the Fifty Fathoms logo.

Variants:

  • Sometimes, the logo shares the screen with other logos.
  • Starting in 2020, only the text appears on the white box.

Technique: The picture wiping.

Audio: The end theme of the show.

Availability: First seen on Marvellous, then seen on Fortitude, The A Word, Guerrilla, The Eddy, Adult Material and Domina.
