Video Pack Nippon
NotPurpleHoodieBoi
Background
Video Pack Nippon was a post-production company and the former subsidiary of TV Asahi that mainly worked on said company's affiliated programs. As the company name suggests, it is a long-established company that has been involved in the secondary use of programs since the beginning of the 'Video' era, and has been selling products such as videotapes and laserdiscs. As of July 1st of 2017, it merged with Tokyo Sound Production and has dissolved.
1st Logo (Late 1980s-1990s)
Visuals: On a black background, there are four blue radial shapes plastered in the background, along the company's initials in gold in front of it. Shortly after, the radials start rotating counterclockwise, and the letters shine. The company's name in Japanese and in yellow with a white drop shadow zooms towards the hole of the middle letter, followed by a residue trail, and stands underneath.
Technique: Scanimate.
Audio: A new age-like synth pad ditty, with a deep choir and a series of descending synth notes, followed by a whoosh and a single synth note.
Availability: Appeared on NJPW tapes from the era.
2nd Logo (Late 1990s-2017)
Visuals: On a dark black-sky blue-red marble gradient background, a rainbow reflective rectangle zooms from the upper-right corner, whilst it rotates. Two hot pink lasers quickly sweep from the upper left and right corners, and start cutting the shape into two right rectangles, which 'fall' off, forming a downwards triangle shape. The background lightens up, and a masked blurry rainbow downwards triangle slides from the left in the shape, which leaves out a portion on the upper-left missing, and slide towards the middle to reveal a downwards triangle cut. As it settles over, the shape backs up in way for the faint rainbow-colored company's name in a sans-serif font to slide from the right towards the middle.
Technique: CGI.
Audio: An ascending dreamy glissando that leads through a heavenly synth ditty with two zaps and a brief ascending synth note.
Availability: Appeared on NJPW tapes and discs from the era before being merged.
