Background

Miramax/Dimension Home Entertainment was a sub-label of Buena Vista Home Entertainment formed in 1997 that released select Dimension Films titles on home video. It was retired after the Dimension name was taken by Harvey and Bob Weinstein in 2005.

Logo (1997-2005)


Visuals: Over a black background is the Miramax print logo without "FILMS", and then a slash next to it and the still Dimension logo next to the slash. Underneath are the words "HOME ENTERTAINMENT", separated by 2 lines.

Technique: A digital graphic.

Audio: None.

Availability: This is seen on a few Miramax-branded Dimension Films DVD and VHS releases.

  • Can be seen on Hellraiser III, the widescreen edition VHS of The Crow, the aforementioned film's sequel The Crow: City of Angels, and the DVD of Legend of the Swordsman (aka Swordsman II: Asia The Invincible).
  • Most releases that have the print logo on this packaging (eg, the PAL DVD release of Spy Kids 2: The Island of Lost Dreams) use either the Dimension Home Video or Miramax Home Entertainment logos instead of this one.
