T-Series VCD

From the Audiovisual Identity Database, the motion graphics museum

Logo (2002)

Visuals: There is a supernova emerging over a blue space background. This brings up multiple stars and a glowing VCD of the movie Hum Tumhare Hain Sanam rotating into view. Other VCDs of various movies then slide out into a line, including Tum Bin and Beta VCDs. The screen blurs into a rotating Earth with multiple movie shots spinning within it, as two filmstrips are seen circling them. The Earth centers out and the two filmstrips clash, bringing up a yellow flash, changing the background into a silver line background, and morphing the Earth into a disc. The disc zooms out and fades out while the elements of the T-Series bar logo spin out and form. Below it is "VCD" in golden zooming out, and red/yellow glowing lights come out from its letters one-by-one. The screen then fades again into a black\blue light background with a T-Series branded disc zooming out and rotating while a filmstrip moves from the corners. The words of the slogan "UNMATCHED QUALITY UNBEATABLE PRICE" zoom out below, the background remains still and the logo disappears by a circle transition.

Technique: CGI.

Audio: A high-pitched descending synth and an explosion, following an upbeat electronic theme. Another high-pitched sound effect is heard, as drums are then removed from the music. It segues into a synth note while a repeated synth clashing effect is heard when the letters light up. An announcer says "T-Series VCD, unmatched quality at an unbeatable price."

Availability: Seen on T-Series VCD prints distributed across India during the early 2000s. [Examples?]
