1st Tag (2002)
Visuals:
- Opening: A still image of the 1997 Universal Pictures logo fades in. "PRESENTS" fades in underneath, then it fades to an orange background with a detailed illustration of the globe (the logo itself briefly animates during this) as a gold ring is drawn around it. The usual "UNIVERSAL" wordmark in gold slides in on top of the ring before stopping in the center, then the front of it turns mostly white. A white spinning glow appears behind the globe, and "Mediterranea" in teal, and in a script font, fades in, followed by a white outline. The ring shines, then the "Mediterranea" text shines, and finally the screen fades to the beginning of the commercial's montage.
- Closing: The finished product of the opening variant is shown, with the glow spinning, and the ring and the "Mediterranea" text shining simultaneously. The white text "www.universalmediterranea.com" is below the logo. The screen then fades to black.
Technique: Cel-shaded CGI.
Audio:
- Opening: The beginning of the commercial's music (a brass and trumpet fanfare), accompanied by a male announcer saying "Universal presents... Universal Mediterranea."
- Closing: The ending of the commercial's music (which a slight re-arrangement of the opening that is pitched a step up), accompanied by the same announcer saying "Discover an out of the ordinary experience."
Audio Variant: On Italian releases, a different male announcer says "Universal presenta... Universal Mediterranea." and "Scopri un'esperienza fuori dal comune." for the respective variants.
Availability: It appears on a commercial promoting their business, which can be seen on some VHS releases from the UK and Italy, such as the UK VHS release of Sitting Ducks: Duck Cravings, as well as the video game Jurassic Park: Operation Genesis.
