Background

Luchemos por la Vida (tr. Let's Fight for Life) was an Argentinian PSA campaign about transport safety formed in the 1990s.

1st Logo (1992)

Visuals: On a yellow background, there's a yellow diamond sign with three people holding hands in it. Next to the logo there's "Luchemos por la Vida", with "Asociación Civil" below. Below the logo and text there's the telephone number and address of the company.

Technique: A still computer graphic.

Audio: Just the announcer reading out the name, telephone and address.

Availability: Seen on their earlier PSAs.

2nd Logo (1993-2001)

Visuals: One of the persons from the logo appears walking in a yellow background, then after it stops, the other two people come in and grab their hands. The people zoom out as the diamond sign emerges behind, and the outline zooms into place. The sign moves to the left, as the 3D text of "Luchemos por la Vida", facing up, zooms in next to it and rotates into view. The text "Asociación Civil" then expands letter-by-letter below the name.

Variants:

  • The earliest variant with the telephone number had it on a yellow rectangle.
  • Later on, the telephone number was added in with the URL of the company below.

Technique: A mix of 2D and 3D animation.

Audio: A synthesized pop fanfare, with the announcer then saying "Luchemos por la Vida". Sometimes, like in earlier ads, the announcer would say the telephone number.

Availability: Seen on most of their PSAs from their golden era.

3rd Logo (2001-2011)

Visuals: A redesigned version of the previous logo, this time set on a different, blurred yellow background with copies of the sign logo shown around it. Two radial borders emerge from the corners as the logo ends forming, there's a shadow shown behind the people, and the text "Luchemos por la Vida" flips in letter-by-letter, with "Asociación Civil" blurring in below. A red rectangle then wipes in to the right on the bottom of the screen, accompanied by the telephone number and web URL in yellow wiping in to the left.

Technique: 2D computer animation.

Audio: Same as before.

Availability: Seen on most of their PSAs from the 2000s.
