Background

Zain Group (formerly Mobile Telecommunications Company until September 9, 2007) is a multinational telecommunications company founded on 1983 and headquartered in Kuwait City, Kuwait.

1st Logo (September 2007?-April 3, 2011)

Visuals: On a black background surrounded by swirling green/purple stripes, a glossy, rounded, vertical rectangle is formed from illuminated stripes inside, which turns into a glossy version of the then-current Zain logo, a green/purple abstract symbol and the company name in green in the now-black rectangle. Below it, the slogan "A wonderful world" in English or "زين. عالم جميل" in Arabic swiftly fades in letter by letter. The URL (also in magenta) fades in on the bottom-right of the screen. All this gradually zooms out.

Variants:

  • Sometimes, the URL is omitted.
  • Sometimes, the URL would already appear before the logo forms.
  • In the logo's final years, the text "Mobile Telecommunications Company (Zain)", in either English or Arabic, appears on the bottom-left or bottom-right of the screen, respectively.

Technique: CGI.

Audio: Zain's jingle, which is a 7-note tune. The instruments used vary depending on the commercial/variant.

Availability:

  • This logo was seen on commercials from the time period.
  • It was also used in tandem with the next logo.

2nd Logo (March 30-April 3, 2011)

Visuals: Superimposed over the commercial, stripes fade in and turn, drawing and forming the Zain logo from before, albeit vertical this time. The background fades to black during this. The slogan from before in English zooms out from the screen and situates itself. The whole thing zooms out a bit until it stops.

Technique: CGI.

Audio: A music box-like rendition of the Zain jingle.

Availability:

  • This logo was seen on commercials from the time period, albeit short-lived.
  • It was also used in tandem with the previous logo.

3rd Logo (April 4, 2011-)

Visuals:

  • April 4, 2011-December 20, 2017: On a black background, symbols join together and situate themselves, forming the Zain logo (including the company name).
  • December 21, 2017-: Similar to above, except the logo forms itself (although it is still accompanied by the symbols), and the logo is now horizontal and in silver. The logo also shines from the left to the right once.

Variants:

  • In the second version of the logo, depending on the country the company serves, the country name may fade in below the logo, with additional information on the bottom of the screen.
  • Usually, in the first version of the logo, the slogan in Arabic fades in below the logo, and the URL fades in below the slogan, changing to show their Facebook, Twitter and YouTube redirect, color-coded.
  • An extended variant of the first version of the logo exists.
  • The logo can be played in warp speed.
  • Sometimes, the logo is zoomed out.

Audio: A piano and slightly synthesized rendition of the Zain jingle.

Audio Variant: Like the first logo, the instruments played vary depending on the commercial/variant.

Availability: Seen on their more recent commercials since then.
