Background

1st Logo (early 1980s-1985)

Visuals: On a blue background, two people can be seen inside a house. At the bottom is a white section with the name "HASBRO" on it. The two people move closer to each other.

Availability: Seen on Hasbro ads from the era, such as "Hungry Hungry Hippos" and "Lite Brite,"

2nd Logo (Boys Variant) (1982-1985)

Visuals: On a white background, a grey stamp resembling the previous logo design is stamped by a hammer, spoofing the Mark VII limited logo.

Technique: Traditional animation.

Audio: A quick hammer clang.

Availability: Appears on 1980s Hasbro commercials for toys aimed at a male audience, such as "Transformers" and "G.I. Joe."

3rd Logo (Girls Variant #1) (1983)

Visuals: A pair of floral curtains are seen with the red name "HASBRO" in a white space below them. The curtains move back, revealing the logo design from above but in red and white with a pink background.

Audio: The end of the commercial.

Availability: Appears on the very first "My Little Pony" commercial.

4th Logo (Girls Variant #2) (1983-1985)

Visuals: On a tan background, a line is shown with the name "HASBRO" below it. Then, three white stick figures wearing headbands and tutus perform a short dance above the line.
