Koei (Commercial Tags)

From the Audiovisual Identity Database, the motion graphics museum

1st Tag (1988-1998)

Visuals: The sequence starts on a red background with the text "KOEI" in an orange-red gradient. The red background then pulls back to reveal it is a red rectangle on a white background, also revealing the red words "ENTERTAINMENT & EDUCATION" above the "KOEI" text. The rectangle flashes and freezes just below the "KOEI" text, forming the logo.

Technique: Analog computer effects.

Audio: Two synthesized notes, followed a male voice announcing the company name.

Availability: Seen on Japanese commercials by the company during this period.

2nd Tag (December 17, 1998-2009)

Visuals: Same as the 6th Koei logo, but "KOEI PRESENTS" is absent. Above the logo is the phrase "Finally made it", and the logo is shifted below to accompany it.

Technique: Same as the 6th Koei logo.

Audio: A synth jingle and a female voice singing the company name.

Audio Variant: At the end of some commercials, the jingle is replaced by a series of descending warble-like noises, and the female announcer is instead a group of girls.

Availability: Seen on Japanese commercials by the company during this period.
