Background

On 1 November 1997, as part of another refresh of Sky's networks, Sky rebranded Sky Movies and The Movie Channel as Sky Movies Screen 1 and Sky Movies Screen 2 respectively.

On 1 October 1998, both channels were renamed Sky MovieMax and Sky Premier respectively as part of the launch of Sky Digital.

Visuals: In a cinema setting, there is a crowd and a purple (Screen 1)/blue (Screen 2) curtain. The word "Movies" shines onto the curtain as the Sky logo forms above. Then, the curtain opens to reveal "Screen 1" or "Screen 2" on another curtain, which opens itself up to reveal a CGI-animated city.

Technique: CGI.

Audio: There is a "swoosh" sound and a "baling" sound while an announcer says "This is Sky Movies Screen 1/2". The CGI city footage uses an orchestrated tune.
