Background

4J Studios is a Scottish video game developer founded in 2005 and located in Dundee, Scotland, United Kingdom. They are best known for developing the legacy console edition of Minecraft.

Logo (29 September 2005-)


Visuals: On a white background, a stylized "4J" is written vertically. Next to it, a red rounded rectangle is seen containing a symbol made out of four red parallelograms that resembles a shuriken. Below is "4J STUDIOS" spaced out.

Variants:

  • On the legacy console editions of Minecraft, the logo is pixelated. Later versions have the logo smaller.
  • On earlier games, the logo is superimposed to a background.
  • Starting in 2019, the "4J" is removed.

Audio: None or the opening theme of the game.

Audio Variant: On the legacy console editions of Minecraft, the opening music of Minecraft is used, which changes every time the game is launched.

Availability: Seen on most games by the company starting with Breeders' Cup World Thoroughbred Championships.
