Background

Yosemite Entertainment was the new name given to Sierra Entertainment's old game development studio. Formed in 1998, it would be shut down only a year later by Sierra due to consolidations with their then-current owner (Havas). The studio's housing facilities would then be acquired by Codemasters.

Logo (July 11-December 7, 1998)

Visuals: The sequence starts with a sped up version of the 1995 Sierra logo. When the rings zoom into the mountain, the letters "YOSEMITE" appear below the mountain. The mountain later turns gold, and looks entirely different from the normal Sierra logo. "YOSEMITE" zooms to the top of the mountain, and the mountain zooms to the bottom of "YOSEMITE". "Entertainment" fades in below "YOSEMITE". "A SIERRA COMPANY" appears above "YOSEMITE".

Technique: 2D animation.

Audio:

  • Quest For Glory V: A majestic flute song.
  • Police Quest: SWAT 2: A rock tune.

Availability: Seen on Police Quest: SWAT 2 and Quest for Glory V.
