Background

Torture Star Video is a horror publishing label of Puppet Combo.

1st Logo (October 15, 2020-September 1, 2022)

Visuals: On a zooming space background a gold, 3D star flies in while rotating on its z-axis. After making it to the center of the screen, a blue trail stretches outwards and merges into the back copy, becoming "TORTURE STAR" in a tall font. Afterwards, a white sparkling ball of light draws in a medium slate blue-light sky blue horizontal gradient thick bar underneath "TORTURE" including the space succeeding it. "VIDEO" appears below "STAR" through an aquamarine flashing effect, dimming to light sky blue afterwards. After the logo shines horizontally, the space background fades to black.

Variants:

  • There is a version without the VHS filter.
  • On Deadly Night, the logo is compressed to a fullscreen format.
  • On the "teaser trailer" version of Night at the Gates of Hell, an alternate VHS filter is applied to the logo, giving it static lines.
  • The text "Press 'Z' to Skip" may be included on the bottom right.

Technique: CGI alongside the Universe VHS plugin by Maxin.

Audio: Alongside a repeating low pitched chord that plays throughout the logo sequence, an ascending synthesized riff plays. A four note ascending synthesized chime legato starts playing as the trail appears and until the logo is formed.

Availability: This logo is seen on The Horror of Salazar House, Bloodwash, Deadly Night, and the "teaser trailer" version of Night at the Gates of Hell.

2nd Logo (September 14, 2022-)

Visuals: On a zooming space background, a masked live-action right eye zooms in and opens afterwards, dripping blood to fill up a red star. Then "TORTURE STAR VIDEO" in a stacked, diagonally aligned format, zoom out row by row while two gold diagonal lines scroll in from the left and right to position themselves in between the rows of text.

Variants:

  • There is a version without the VHS filter.
  • On Rewind or Die, an alternate VHS filter is applied, which includes static lines on the lower half of the screen, a color adjusted hue from said filter, a greater halation, and large, vertical white lights flashing in from the bottom.

Technique: 2D computer animation with a VHS filter plugin.

Audio: A horror-themed, four note warbling synthesized legato stinger with the last note held until the end. Two descending, high pitched zaps are also heard sporadically in the logo sequence.

Availability: This logo is seen on Night at the Gates of Hell and Rewind or Die.
